(To tUe ErMor.) Sir,—Can you inform myself und others if the Tramway Co. hua any legal right to alter its ordinary advertised time-table without due notice to the public? This was done on Anni-I versary Day, and caused much annoyance to many. I note that the Government Railway Department advertises any alteration on holidays in the ordinary running of their trains. Surely, the travelling public, who help to sweil the Auckland Tramway Co.'s dividends, have a right to decent consideration. It ia little wonder that visitors to New Zealand frequently remark that the people here put up with a callous disregard of their convenience by public bodies without even entering a protest.—l am, etc., PROTEST. - • I
