PAPAL DELEGATE.
The reception committee in whose hands the reception and entertainment of the Papal Delegate, his Excellency Archbishop Cerretti, met last evening in the Hibernian Hall. Mr. P. J. Nerhcny presided. The Very Rev. Chancellor Holbrook, D.U.. anil a large number were present. At the railway station the delegate will be welcomed, and a guard of honour, comprising the Sacred Heart College and Vermont Street School Cadets, 200 strong, with the permission of the military authorities, will line up outside tho station, whenco they will be taken by special car to the Bishop's Palace, Ponsonby, where they arc expected to arrive in time to form a part of the guard of honour in conjunction with the children on the delegate's arrival after the processional tour through the city. Welcome signs are to be erected at the approach to the Bishops Palace. The questions of electric lighting outside the cathedral and engaging of a band were deferred until next meeting- The secretary was instructed to write to the priests in charge of the several city, suburban, and country parishes with reference to their representative motor-cars in tho procession, and their suitable decorations. The delegate, accompanied by his Lordship Bishop Cleary and party, are now resting in Lake Taupo district.
