A MODEL CAMP.
QUARTERS FOR 4000 MEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Minister of Defence stated to-day that the new camp at Feathenston would bo ready for occupation in the near future. The work was very far forward, and the camp would receive troops within a few days. "It is a model camp," said Mr Allen; "the roads, drainage and water supply are all good. Hot and cold ehowers and electric light have been installed and there ore comfortable hats and dining quarters. The hospital building is already in use. The Feafhereton camp will have permanent quarters for some 4000 men, and an additional body of men Will be accommodated in tents near at hand. Trentham and Feathecston are to be the two permanent camps. Tie present Tauherenikau Camp will be abandoned and the Eangiotu Camp will also he emptied, thought it may he reoccupied later."
