£50,000,000 FOR WAR. WANTED THIS YEAK. (Received 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Mr Higgs (Federal Treasurer), replying to a company's application for permission to raise additional capital, said the Government required £50,000,000 for war purposes alone this year.
