The "Petit Journal" states that Indian missionaries who have arrived in Naples declare that the British have completed extraordinarily powerful fortifications in the Suez Canal region. The general impression in Egypt is that if DjemaJ Pasha's Turco-German offensive ever materialises it will quickly crumple up.
