Pupils attending Dγ Wake's ambulance clans to the number of Iβ have been examined by Dr Roland Aicfcin, of Auckland, The greater number of the candidates were sitting for their final examination for the society's medallion. The results will be known in a fortnlcht's time. The officers of the Agricultural Department who arc attending to the inoculation of calves in the Franklin county, as a preventive against blackleg.-are being kept particularly hnsy. the farmers taking advantage of their presence in. the district and bringing forward calves in large numbers.
