A SWIMMER DROWNED.

SEIZED WITH CRAMPS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WOODVILLE, this day. The body of Harold Wood, drowned in the Manawatu River at Kumeroa yesterday afternoon, was found in a hole ten feet deep, close to where the young fellow sank. Cramp was the cause of the fatality, as Wood was a good swimmer, and had been in the water 15 minutes. He had been working for Jacksons for two months. He was 26 years of age. His only relatives living are three sistersMrs. Hardy, of Palmerston, one in Newtown, Wellington, and one in Christchnrch.
