NEWS OF N.Z. SOLDIERS AND NURSES.

(From Our Lady Correspondent.) LONDON, December '■ Captain V. G. Jervis, of the Canterbury Battalion, who has been at the No. 3'London General Hospital at Wandsworth, for fifteen weeks, is now at the Convalescent Home, Surrey. Private L. J. Meiklejohn, of Dunedin, and formerly of Sandringham (Vie), w recovering from wounds which he received on August 11th. Mr. A. M. Sharnian/ of ' Gladstone, Masterton, • who has joined the Royal Naval Air Service, has been stationed at Sheerness, but is now at Shepherds Bush. Since his arrival in England 111 October Mr. Sharman has been married, and has visited several old friends m different parts of the country. Flight Sub-Lieutenant W. R. Davenport, of Auckland, has now been transferred from the Royal Naval Air Station, Hendom where he gained his pilot B certificate, to the Eastchurch Flying Squadron. He expects to be there for a few weeks before leaving for the front. Mr. Cjeil Leys, of the "Auckland Star," left Southampton last night for Salonika, where he will drive a ear. Lieutenant Kenneth Eady, of Auckland, who holds his commission in the Royal Field Artillery, is still in training at "Newcastle, but expects to leave for the front shortly after Christmas. Dr E J. Cook, of Lincoln, Canterbury, is at the Milton Hill Hospital, Steventon, Berks. Lieutenant F. W, Crawford, of Dunedin and Christchurch, is in the 21st Midland Battalion of the Rifle Brigade. Lieutenant William , Deans, of Sandown, is staying with Captain F. C. Harris, at Basford Hall, in Staffordshire. Lieutenant H. T. Morton, of Auckland, is at present on furlough. The following New Zealanders were well enough to leave the New Zealand Military Hospital at Walton-on-Thames during the week:—Harry Byrch, Edward Joseph Callaghan, Charles English, Murdoch rinlayson, Edmund Lincoln Gale, Hugh Haythorne, Claude Ruseell Hill, Francis Leslie Gordon Jolly, John Lewis Lougbnan, Leonard Robertehaw, Hatara Matehe Te Awarau,.John Steven Wilson, and James Victor Wren.
