PROBLEM OF THE GREEK OPERATIONS.
POSSIBLE ABANDONMENT OF ENEMY ADVANCE.
IN FAVOUR OF MARCH XTPON EGYPT. ATHENS, December 27. Some newspapers anticipate that the German and Bulgarian advance into Greece will be delayed a fortnight. Possibly the delay indicates the abandonment of the advance in favour of a policy of digging in and prosecuting the Egyptian ■ campaign. Other reports state that Bulgaria has lost 120.000 men out of 450.000 mobilised, and refuses to attack Greece now unless Germany assures Bulgaria possession of all territory occupied. Otherwise the Bulgarians will dig in on the Greek frontier and continue on the defensive.
Forty carloads of German uniforms have arrived in .Southern Bulgaria. It is believed they are intended to disguise the Bulgarian contingents used in (the advance on Salonika.
Reports, which are probably German bluff, state that Austrians and Germans from Monastir, Turks from Xevrkop, and Bulgarians from Lake ' Doiran are preparing for a simultaneous attack.
