RUSSIAN SUCCESS IN PERSIA.
ROUT OF TURCO-GERMAN FORCE. THE RIGA-DVINSK FRONT. (Received 11 a.m.) PETEOGRAD, December 27. A communique states:—"Midway between Teheran and Hamadan we defeated a Turco-German force of severi* thousands, including the rebellious Persian gendarmes. The enemy lost several positions. Many were killed and wounded, and the others fled. "We checkmated enemy attacks on the Riga-Dvinsk front.''
