WATERSIDERS' CONFERENCE.
RIVALRY TO . FEDERATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A.conference of representatives of the ■Waterside Workers' Unions of New Zealand is now sitting under the presidency of Mr L. Glover. The flrst question on the order paper was ■ the advisability of the formation of a Waterside Workers' Federation, and, after discussion, it was decided to reconstruct the old arbitration federation, which had /been in existence for some years. A circular was drafted for issuance to shipping companies and other employers of waterside labour, asking for a conference to discuss future wages and working conditions.
