Rev. G. B. Monro submitted -the refort of the Memorial Committee, which referred to the death of Rev. R. F. MacBieol (of St. James', Auckland), who was ordained in IS6-3, and died in the jubjlee year of that function; Rev. D. Gordon, of Marton, at one time Moderator of the Northern Assembly, and convener of the Maori Missions Committee; the Rev. W. Grant, Leeston aad Gisborne, senior tiaplain (with the rank of Major); and three who had died during the war. STANDING COMMITTEE. Rev. W. J. Comrie reported on the Standing Committees, including the suggestion of five per cent assessment for expenses, certain special flinch icing excepted. BIBLE IN" SCHOOLS. Tiie .AescmMv decided that the Duneiin Presbytery he the Bible-in-Schools Committee," with Rev. R. E. Davies, of Knox Church, as convener. SABBATH OBSERVANCE. :The Rev. J. D. Smith, Waipawa, ffl Pved, and it was agreed: 'That the BKJtk of the Sabbath Observance Committee be merged in the Committee of Church Life and Work." TEMPERANCE COMMITTEE. ■On. the motion .of Eev. George Miller, J» Ashburton, it was agreed that the Jemperance Committee be transferred ■pP-Auckland to the Christehurch. Presjjfery, with the Rev. John Paterson, of ?t.
