The Committee recommended that school commictees ibe consulted regarding -jH-dposed ' appointments aa follows:— Kaxangabake (assistant), Miss A. F. Lloyd; Walpu Central (assistant), Miss M. D. -Tbruston; Port Albert (assistant), Mrs. A. Farmer;'Northedte (assistant), Miss A. Carter. RESIGNATIONS. The chairjnan reported the receipt of resignations' from, "the following:—Miss S. FLndfay, Te Puke No. 2 school; Miss B. M. Nolan, Eonsonhy; . Miss M. E. GilUbrand, Epsom. PASSES FOR STUDENTS. A notification was received from the Minister of Education that under present conditions' the practice of granting free railway passes to training college students to pay observation visits could not bo continued. HIGH 'SCHOOL PUPILS. ■ In connection with .the visits of district high school pupils to Ruakura Farm, the supervisor of the manual and technical branch reported that owing to the .Education Department's refusal to grant railway passes, the pupils from Rotorua, Taurajjga, Te KulU, and Arattupu could not attend, TECHNICAL COLLEGE. On the recommendation of the director of the Technical College (Mr. Geocge George) it was resolved that Miss Florence • Boy n ton be aippolnted mistress for physical culture and hygiene at a. salary of fICO per annum; that the director be au--ithorised to advertise for an additional Instructor at £220 iper annum; -'tba.t the director authorises Mr. H.
