OUR SOLDIERS' QUEEN.

In spite of many counter attractions, the gulden fete promoted by the Mt. Kdeu Ladies' Committee, and held at Mrs. J. H. Kinnear's residence, Mt. Kdcn, last Saturday, was largely attended, and good business at the various stalls was done. Thanks are especially due to the Misses Beresford, whose pupils jbv their sieging and dancing made the affair so bright and animated. Mrs. J. A. Wallingford was present during tho I afternoon, and expressed pleasure and praise for tho trouble taken and tho success attained. _ t
