ADELAIDE PHILANTHROPIST. ADELAIDE, November 21. Mr Robert Barr —mith, a millionaire, and a well-known merchant and philanthropist of Adelaide, is dead. . The late Mr Smith, who was 91 yeaH of age, was well known in Australia as . a wealthy and public-spirited citizen of > •-.. Adelaide, he having been associated wifE the business of Elder, Smith and Cβ., Ltd.: ' He was largely interested in pastoral properties, and was identified with many public patriotic and philanthropic move- ..- mente. He was noted for hie munificence.
