CAMEROONS CAMPAIGN.
A SUCCESSFUL ATTACK. GERMANS DRIVEN FROM FORTRESS. FIGHT IN A THUNDERSTORM. (Received 2,20 p.m.) LONDON, November 21. It is officially stated that the AngloFrench forces in the Cameroons occupied Tibati, 00 miles south-west of Ngaunderp, on November 3. The British, advancing inch by inch on the 6th, occupied the summit of Bayno Mountain, to which the Germans retreated when Bayno was taken. There was continuous fighting at close quarters. The hillside was covered with huge boulders, and the Germans used dynamite bombs. The position was prepared with a view to holding on until the end of the war. We pressed the attack during a thunderstorm on the night of November 5, and the German garrison scattered. The pursuit continues. The Nigerians gave a splendid exhibition of endurance and bravery. Our casualties were about 50. Mr. Bonar Law ti-lpgraphed his appreciation of the gallantry and success of the operations.
