ROOSEVELT'S DENIAL.
A CANADIAN RUMOUR. NEW YORK, November 21. Mr Theodore Roosevelt's secretary denies that Mr Roosevelt is likely to lead a Canadian division in Flanders, as has been reported. An earlier cablegram from Ottawa I announced that the Canadian Department of Militia, hearing of a rumour that Mr Roosevelt was willing to head a Canadian division in Flanders, had announced that the appointment was open if Mr Roosevelt wished to apply for it.
