The following additional men puesed the medical examination last night: — Henry Bro>vn. Edward Richard, Harry Capper, Henry Bostoek, Henry Butler, Silvester Dargan, Charles Gun ton, Geo. Alfred Harris. Geo. Frederick Trembath, Alexander Murdoch, Charles Wells, Peter Mfthews. Applicants are being rejected who do not comply with the usual medical requirements governing recruits generally, and it is buggeated that if the Department really require nrst-elaas miners those hard and fast rules should be somewhat relaxed.
