FOR BENEFIT OF SPIES. UNITED STATES PROTEST. NEW YORK. July .'lO. In consequence of investigations in England and Holland. Ajiierica lias i strongly protested to Germany against J officials forging American passports used for spying in England and Franco. Evidence collected in England proves the existence of a passport factory in Holland under German supervision, reproducing the official seals and watermarks. It is not doubted in Washington I that high officials in Berlin arc fully cognisant of what is going on.
