Wood, the chairman of the I Epeom Road Board, occupied the chair, and Mr T. .t. Watt, captain of the Newmarket brigade, wa* present. A local architect offered to supply plans and the ereci tion of the buildinz free of cost. Nine ! men who were present volunteered us members of the brisade. It wa.s decided that the new force should consist of ; twelve members, and that these should , be distributed over the district as evenly I aa possible. The Newmarket hripado j offered the use of tlieir appliances to \ the members of the Epsom organisation i for the purposes of practising, until the time when they will have procured their own.
