WHAT ARE WANTED. AND HOW TO JUKE THEM. T.adies who are "working fnr the soldiers" in their own homes will find very useful the following information as to the making of the various articles that ;ire most urpently required. Three skeins Koslvn or equivalent. white or natural. Cast on 50, knit 40 rows 2 plain 2 purl, knit 2. pass wool to front, and knit 2 together to end of row, cast on 'M more stitches, knit back to end of row. cast on :!0 more stitches. Stitches on needlo will now bo 110. Knit IS rows. increasing 1 at end of each row; knit IS rows, decreasing 1 at end of each row; cast off; fold in two and stitch round to form sock: pass tape or length of chain through holes at ankle.
