JERMYN STREET OUTLET ANOMALY.
(To the Editor.) Sir.—T am rather perplexed about the figures in reference to the purchase of "Glenalvon" and Mr. Russell's property adjoining it, as there is Bueh a disparity in prices. For instance, "Glenalvon" land is. now valued at £80 per foot, jet the Mayor stated a few weeks ago when explaining the "why and wherefore" that the land in question was cheap at £70 per foot, unless the 320 feet frontage at an additional £10 per foot is utilised to bring out the credit balance of £2,140. Can anyone explain why Mr. Russell's property adjoining "Glenalvon'' is valued at £C 0 per foot less?—T am, etc., PERPLEXED.
