The High Commissioner has sent the following cable from Loudon under date 17th inst: "Authentic reports indicate that New Zealand si ml Au.'traliau officers who arc prisoners of war at Constantinople arc well treated. The following message has reached London from Captain McDonald, an Australian ollicer: '1 am in Constantinople with other prisoners of war. We have received great kindness from Turkish nlncers. nnd have received advance pay from Commandant Djevad Bey.' "
