The highest bidder was Mr. John McMaster, who save a sectiou of land valued at £4000.' Sir Walter Buchanan added another £1000 to his already large contributions. Altogether, during the last two days, over £15,000 has been subscribed to the Wairarapa Wounded Soldiers' Fund.
