PRIMATE ON HEROISM OF THE HOME AS -WELL AS THE TRENCH. (Time- and Sydney Sun ScrvicesA i Received S.:lll a.m.l LONDON, .lune 17. In the eo-.l'-e ..f hi- sermon at t-t. Paul'- yesterday, when a memorial service was 'held ip meinorv of the Australians who fell at the Dardanelles, the Primate saint "We want as Christians to say together, honestly and deliberately, that we believe these fearful jK-rils. those wounded an.l stricken bodies of our best and bravest, these saddened heart- and darkened home-, are worth while. If worth while they are light, and the offering, terrible as' it is. ought to be made without reserve in the eau-e of truth and honour among the peoples of Kurope. It is a duty grave, inspiring, and urgent. There i- a real heroism of the stricken liome a.- well as a heroism of the shellswept trench ami quivering deck. For the-e brave women in Kngland or the southern sea- we upon our knees are thanking Cod. We trust that they will nil find comfort, but we also'want another note. We must have a triumphant note for thos.- whose self-saeiitiee has meant so much for their country. It has been theirs in their enthusiastic, eager. self-surrender to reach what Christ marks ns the highest guide of human love. When the calls rang out the response was ready, and the results are W'fore us nil. Those Australians and New Zealandcr? are enrolled among the champions whom the Kmpiie. in genera-, tion- to conic, will delight to honour. - '
