PAEROA V. KARANGAHAKE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, Saturday. At Paeroa this afternoon the Paeroa and Karangahake tennis teams tried conclusions. In the men's doubles Paeroa won 2 sets to Karangahake's 1. In the ladies' doubles Paeroa won 2, and Karangahake 4. Only one singles was played, and was won by Karangahake. The following is the result of the games, Paeroa being mentioned first in each case:— Men's Doubles.—Meddix and Hot son lost to Hamilton aud Deane, S—9: Edwards and Bush defeated Wilson and Chappell. 9—B: Smith and Aitken defeated shand and Welsh 9—4. Indies' Doubles. —Miss Clark and Mrs. •Stinton lost to Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Hilton, 3—7; Mrs. Bush and Miss Walmsley defeated' Mrs. Jury and -Mrs. Shand. 7—5; Miss Thorpe and Miss Aitken defeated Miss Gillies and Miss Gibb, 7—3. Total Sets.—Paeroa won 8, end Karangabake won 6. Karangahake won 81 games to Peeroa'e 7ft, _.
