DOGS TOOTH VIOIiET. These are very pretty spring flowering bulbs, aad are admirably adapted to plant hi quantities. They are low growing, and have flowers in colour from white to red. The foliage ie also very pretty, being blotched with purplebrown and white. The common name is derived from the chape o£ fch-a root, whicih hae fangs somewhat like a large .tooth. They like a eunny position, and to be planted in candy coil. They should be planted three inch« deep.
