At 598 ft have driven north and south 7ft and 16ft' respectively: the drives followed the quartz vein disclosed by No. 1 Crosscut, and were put out principally to get its dip and strike, with a view of reconciling it with one of the veins showing in higher workings, bat j it does not seem to correspond with anything overhead; discontinued. North Drive.—Advanced 90ft; total. 597 ft. No change in ground. South Drive.—Advanced 119 ft; total, 841 ft. No chinge In ground.
