From 225 ft to 273 ft, values averaged 3S 4/ tor a width of 36in. Prom 273 ft to 287 ft, tbe values are nil; width of vein, 30in. At 223 ft, where the improvement in values commenced, a vein came in from the western wall and junetioraed with that being followed by drive. Have driven southward on this vein for 10ft; from starting point to sft, the values averaged £6 18/ for a width of 36tn. From sft to , 15ft tbe values were nil: width of vein, The South Drive from "Winze has baen advanced 42ft; total. 237 ft From 195 ft to 219 ft, width of vein 21 inches; values rtU. From 219 ft to 228 ft. values average £2 11/ for a width of 39 inches. From 228 ft to 237 ft, values average £2 for a width of 60 inches. At 213 ft crosscuts were driven east end west lift and 12ft respectively, without intersecting anything of value. Woodstock Section. —No. 1 crosscut: Advanced 67ft; total, 872 ft; ground shows no change: discontinued. At 598 ft have driven north and south 7ft and 16ft' respectively: the drives followed the quartz vein disclosed by No. 1 Crosscut, and were put out principally to get its dip and strike, with a view of reconciling it with one of the veins showing in higher workings, bat j it does not seem to correspond with anything overhead; discontinued. North Drive.—Advanced 90ft; total. 597 ft. No change in ground. South Drive.—Advanced 119 ft; total, 841 ft. No chinge In ground.
