WILD WOMEN IN COURT.
At Suffolk Assizes. Hilda BurldU was sentenced to two years' imprisonment and Florence Tunks to nine months for setting lire to the Bath Hotel, Felixstowe. Both pleaded not guiKr- 'I'uere was something of a scene in Court, the judge having to warn persons in the gallery. 'Burkitt suggested to the Judge to pat on the black cap and pass sentence of death, and not waste breath. She defied McKenua, and asked for liberty or death. Tunks vowed she would be out of prison before long, and victory would be 'hers. There were previous convictions against Burkitt, -who 1s awaiting trial for setting fire to a football grandstand at I-eeds.
