Hero wan a ehanee lor the Government to show that they were preparcel to do something for the taxpaying paterfamilias and th« freneral body of the people in New Zealand, but they hav<> turned down tire proposal, and will not try to assist the people by removing or ultoring a grossly unfair charge for children travelling. If they had even pa id that llr Myers' proposal was 100 big, and they would try and meet it half way, the jood intention would he there, anrl even quarter fares up to ?even. and half fare? From seven to fifteen, would he a crood concession: but to cliarpe half fare for a ohild over three is exorbitant—l am. etc., FAIKPLAY.
