The German L.T.A. had , previously decided to withdraw from the competition and give the winner of the Canadian-Aus-tralian tie a walk-over. The reversal of thifi decision is proha.bly due to Proilzheim's fine performance against Brookes in the final of the preliminary rounds of the Englir-h championship?. The draw for the rest of the competition i- as follows: — .Inly l.i. ii, 2S.—Australia V. Canada, in America. Second Round. • Inly 11, 1.1. 14.—British.Hlee v. France, at Wimbledon. July Hi. 17.
