■ i ■ AMUBLA.VCE ASSOCIATION. The executive committee of the Auckland Cfentre of the St. John Ambulance Association met yesterday afternoon, the Uev. li. Somervllle presiding. A letter from Mr T. „. Webb, secretary of the Waikato Medical nnd Accident Society, orderiug two Ashford litters, to be used for the eonvevance of those suffering from the effects of accidents or illness at Huntly, was sent on to St. John's Gate.- Mr. George George (Director of the Technical College) was granted the use of one of tbe lecture halls for physical culture classes for girls. As the headmistress of the "Diocesan High School wlsflicd to have nursing lectures, and Dr. Roberton was prepared to give tbem, the executive agreed to tbe request. Dr. Tewsley gave the second lecture of the first aid course last night to a large class of men. Including some from the mercantile marine.
