(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) --PROVING THE HOTELS. WOODVILLE, this day. The annual meeting of the Pahiatua Licensing Committee was held to-day. All licenses were granted, several subject to improvements being effected. The chairman said the committee would insist on these being put in hand immediately, and inspectors will visit at the end of the month and report. CARTER'S SUDDEN DEATH. WANGANUI, this day. YV. J. Wicket, employed as a carter, died suddenly at Waitotara yesterday. At the inquest a verdict that death was caused by over-exertion whilst suffering from heart disease was returned. Deceased, a young man.leaves a widow and one son.
