He explained that previous negotiations bad been interrupted by tiie Government's decision to purchase the block. The erection of cottages for the Board's employees was an urgent matter, and ought to be commenced -hortly. It was decided that the m-.uter should be brought under the notice of the Covcrnment by the Board. ALLEGED DAMAGE. ,Mr. P. Y. Gidlcdgo wrote intimating that he intended lo take legal action over certain damage which he aliened bad been done by the Board's work.- in trout of his property in Harbour street. The Kn'-'inccr informed th,, meeting that the spoil deposit., at the point mentioned would be removed vi a few days for filling purposes.
