SYDNT.Y. May 26. The Bank of New >outh Wales held its half-yearly meeting to-day. The report was adopted. It showed that the net protits were £275.746. to which a 'balance of £68.068 wa,s to hp added, making a total available for distribution of £344.404. A dividend of 10 per cent per annum absorbed £87.500. The augmentation reserve fund was increased by £100.000. while a sum of £60.403 was carried forward. The president said that the note .11I filiation had been redue*J by £20.000. due to retirement of £10.000 of tile old ! Austrai'an i-sne and a flight contract: .11 in t!io New Zealand issue. Deposits showed an increase of £2.183.0041. an.l there was also -ome increase in fixed < l p " po-its. ( oiu. bullion, and ea«.li balances showed an increa-e of nearly £2.000.000.
