BIG AUSTRALIAN COMBINE. OUTCOME OF NJS. STRIKE. READY FOB CONCERTED ACTION. (By Cable—Press Association.—Copyrifflrt.) (Beoeived 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A conference of the representatives of the allied unions which acted as the ex- ; ecutive has decided to make the standing committee of the strike period a permanent federation to create machinery for united action for organised labour. It will cover 150.000 unionists, who will refrain from striking without first consulting allied hodies. A committee was appointed to draft rules. Mr \V. M. Hnghes, chairman, was ; presented with an address thanking him for his services during the. New Zealand strike. It -was stated that the federation was the direct outcome of the New Zealand strike.
