The teams which Trill compete lv the Walrarapa senior championship this year will be Carterton (last year's champion) Bed' Star. Gladstone. Greytown. and Liberals. The championship matches will be commenced early. In view of the long list of rep. matches this year. Visits are expected from Canterbury. Southland, Wellington. Marlborough, Horowhenua, Mana-wa-tu, wanganui and Rotorua. while Walrarapa has visits to pay to Hawke's Bay, TaTanakl. Wellington, Forty Mile Bush, Nelson, aud probably Auckland. ASSOCIATION. J ___ ANNUAL REPORT. . The annual meeting of the Auckland Football Association will be held in the Sports' Club rooms to-morrow evening. The 25th annual report states that the season started with a registered list of 693. players, and the following teams :—ten first division, -nine second, six third, six fourth, nine fifth, and four sixth. All the champonsbips were well contested, the winners being :—First division. Kverton; second division. Everton: third . division. Tabernacle A; fourth division. City: fifth division. Presbyterian: sixth division. V.M.C.A. The Corinthian Club won the Falcon Cup. * A challenge team was selected during tie season, and was sent to C'hiistcburcll to try to bring the Brown shield to Auckland. The holders, however, retained the trophy after a match resulting In their favour by three goals to one. The Auckland team also played games at Hawera smd Wellington, winning the former andlosing the latter. The new ground at Bayfiwarer, the report states, te in fair condition, but owing to want of funds the committee has not been i able to get more grounds opened. The number of clubs is increasing, and there should have been four grounds ready for this season, but tbe clubs have not responded to tbe appeals for funds to push on the work of getting grounds in order. The committee is anxious to go ahead, but find it impossible to do so while the cliibs do not give financial support. Tbe committee expresses thanks to the boy's sub-committee for carrying on games in the fifth and sixth divisions. The wort of the Referees' Association is also referred to with very keen appreciation. Several changes in the managing body were recorded. .Regret was expressed at the untimely death of Ifr.
