The Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland hereby give notice, in pursuance of Section 9 of the abovementioned Act;— i- That the purpose for which the Loan is required is the execution of Drainage Works in the City of Auckland, Including, particularly, the following: (a) The connection of existing sewers in the, City of Auckland to the main and branch sewers of the Anekland and Suburban Drainage Board. (b) The reticulation of the low-level areas of the City of Auckland to the propoeed various pumping stations of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board. (c) To make provision for relaying and renewing existing defective sewers in the City of Auckland. ~ 2. That the, Auckland City. Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of the ordinary revenues of the City, proposes 'to borrow a sum not exceeding £80,000. 3.
