NO RELAPSE AFTER BOOM. (Received 8.35 a.m.) LONDON. February 24. The "Daily Mail" says that though there, has been a substantial setback in Homo Government securities, the relapse of colonial stocks is comparatively small. Some remain in top places, which is not only a tribute to the steadiness of the colonial market, but an indication that however much speculation figures in the cheap money boom there is a good deal' of solid investment. DEAD MEN'S VOTES CAST IN FEDERAL ELECTIONS. (Received 9 a.m.) PERTH, this day. At the Federal Elections Commission, evidence was given that the names of many -who were dead or had left the district were on the roll. Three votes were recorded for voters dead two years. In the case of another name on the roll twice, somebody else cast the second vote.
