THE OVERTIME STRIKE.

MEN LIKELY TO RESUME UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. (Received 11.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Mr Justice Higgins resumed the eon'ipulsory conference in the shipping dispute. Mr W. M. Hughes (president of the Waterside Union) notified him of the result of the men's decision in regard to overtime work. As the position was complicated owing to want of unanimity in the voting, he asked for a week's adjournment. In the meantime the Waterside Federation would ask its members to resume under normal conditions pending the arbitration award. Mr Higgins agreed to resume the hearing on Friday.
