SUDDEN DEATHS.

Mrs. Sarah RnsseU, aged 59, died suddenly at an early hour this morning at Titirangi, where she had been camping with a party of relatives since February 2. About 0 o'clock last night Mrs Forbes, deceased's 'daughter, found her mother lying unconscious, and put her to bed. An unsuccessful attempt was made to obtain medical aid. and Mra Russell expired at about 4 a.m, without regaining consciousness. The deceased had been attended by Dr. Dudley about 6 mouths ago, and as he was not prepared to give a certificate an inquest was commenced at Onehunga at 3.30 p.m. to-day.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association ) PAEROA, this day. A very sudden death occurred in Paeroa on Sunday morning, vrhen Mr John Black, civil engineer, passed away. Mr Black, when working at the Horticultural Show on Saturday morning, had a fit. Dr. Craig was called in. Mr Black regained about duune.r time and remained so until about 4 o'clock, when he went off to sleep. He did not wake agnin. but died about 1 o'clock on Sunday morning. Mr Black was very well known in this district, and commanded the reepect of all wbo knew him. He took a keen interest in all public matters, and had been secretary to tho Ps.croa Chamber of Commerce since its inception. He was also Chairman of the Srtiool Committee Mr Tom Dean, another old and much respected Poeroa resident pas3ed away at the Thames hospital on Saturday night laet.

DROPS m TTIE STREET. OHPvISTOHUBCH, this day. Irvinp; Saylee, the coloured comedian, dropped dead in Gloucester Street at midday on Sunday, while joking with friends. He leaves a wife, now in Christchurch.
