MEETING OF CREDITORS.
AN" OIL, MERCHANT'S BUSINESS. An adjourned meeting of creditors in the estate of William Purlajid Haywaxd, formerly an oil and colour merchant of Whangarei, was held yesterday afternoon before the Official Assignee (Mr. W. S. Fisher). The debtor's liabilities amounted to £424, and his estimated assets (ifrom book debts and the seenTity of unpaid purchase money of hils business.) amounted to £776. The meeting had been adjourned to enable further particulars to he obtained concerning tbe assets. ■ Mr. G. M. Stewart appeared to represent Price and Co. (Wellington), and Berger and Sons (Sydney), and Mr. J. A. Hill (of Hill and Phimrmer), and Mr. F. C'ro&bie (of Crosfbie and Rons) were also present. Mt. R. P. Towle appeared on behalf of the 'bankruipt. After discussion the meeting was further adjourned to enable a stock-taking 'to be made in accordance with the bill of sale, Messrs Hill and Phrmmer's representative being authorised to effect this. Bankrupt was also ordered to place bis books of accounts in tbe hands of the Assignee without delay.
