GENEROUS SANTA CLAUS.

ASKED FOR A BABY BROTHER— j SENDS TRIFLETS. Good old St. Nicholas (says the "New York Tribune" of November 30) is generous with his gifts at times. A week ago Annie Josephine O'Hara, aged seven, laboriously penned these words to "Sandy Claws,"' while her three easereycrl little sisters—Mary Elizabeth, Aye; Veronica, four, and Nora, two—looked over her shoulder. Their mother looked on, too, fondly and with amusement. And ■nights and mornings, fn their bedtime and getting up prayers, the little ones did not once forget to send up a repetition of their pica to .the good old .patron of little children. And their papa, -who is hearty i James O'Hara, chuckled when he heard all about it. And Santa Clans surely heard the call, for he made a bountiful response yesterday, .though he was surprisingly early about making a Christmas shipment. There ■were three little strangers at the O'Hara home, at No. 32, Gunther Place, East New York, last night. "Sandy Claws" brought two beautiful little sisters and'a lusty- baby ■brother while Annie, Josephine, Mary, Lizzie, .Norah aud Veronica were out at play. •My, but they were delighted when they came In and made the discovery, even it "Sandy" did not wait a bit longer and ■hang, the newcomers on the Christmas tree, as requested! O'Hara is a bricklayer. He was laying brick on the newly-constructed eighth, floor of an annexe to the St. George Hotel, Brooklyn, when a telephone call sent him home in a hurry. f'What's the riot?" he asked, when a great clamour befell his ears when he reached home. "Triplets," said the nurse, who met him at the door.
