Mr G. M. Thomson, member for Dunedin North, is on a visit to Auckland, Mr. Justice Cooper left Auckland for Wellington by the mid-day Main Trunk express to-day. Mr Justice Cooper left Auckland this morning for Wellington by the Main Trunk express. Mr C. N. Worsley, R..8A., the well known artist, has taken up his residence in the Mount Albert district. Dr. X. McKay Grant has recovered from his recent indisposition, and he will shortly resume active practice. Mr. Clement Watson, 8.A., headmaster of Te Aro school for over thirty years, has retired from the service of tho Wellington Education Board, owing to illhealth. Dr. J. Falconer Brown has returned to Auckland after an absence of nine years spent in studying at Edinburgh, and gaining experience in various hospitals at Home. Dr. Brown has made arrangements to enter into practice with Dr. Grant. Tho Rev. E. A. Kirwood (president of the Baptist Union of New Zealand) was s- passenger from Sydney by the Manuka this morning. Accompanied by Mrs Kirwood'. be has been spending a few weeks' holiday in -Melbourne. He resumes his pastorate at Grange Bead Baptist Church to-morrow. Mr 0. Riley, who is leaving the employment of Mr Andrew Parkinson. Ponsonby, after ten years' service, was I yesterday presented with an address and ! a case of pipes from his fellow-employees, i the presentation being made by Mr T. I Reed.
