COMMITTEE ALTERATIONS. 'By Telegraph —Parliamentary Reporters WELLINGTON, this day. The Native Rating Amendment Bill has been reported tor the Native Affairs' Committee, with a number of machinery amendment? involving no change of policy. Where native rate? remain unpaid, the native authority may register a lien against the land if they are nine months in arrears. The bill as drafted provides for six months' grace.
