CHARGES AGAINST A BANKRUPT.
HAWERA, Wednesday. In t-he Magistrate's Coiin, thiii afternoon D. S. Fox -was charged with (1) that, being bankrupt, lie failed to keep proper book's of account in business as ■a grocer carried on by him; 12) that, <lj.-.;ng bankrupt, he did on April 1, 1912. contract 3 debt, ol £300 to A. Hatriek and C".. of \\"an£ranui. when he could n<K : have hid cause of being able to pay the same. Defendant, who reserved his defence, was committed for trial. Bail was allowed.
