LABOUR LEADER'S TESTOKXSY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) CHRISTCHUBOH, this day. In an a-ddresß to a large crowd on the wharf at Lyttelton last night, Mr. P. C. Webb, M-P., who spoke deck of the Maori, made a spirited defence of Mr. George Laurenson, MJ., concerning v.'horn slighting reference was made *by strikers on the. wharf. He. said there be cowards in the House who dia not speak up for tie workers, ftit Mr. Laurenson was not one of them. Mr. Laurenson was one of tie most honourable men he knew. His life had been given to the service of humanity, and be deserved better of Lyttelton than tie remarks made.
