BLOOD RITUAL CHARGE.

AN ENGLISH PROTEST.

LONDON, October 29.

An influential meeting held in .London yesterday protested against the recrudescence of* the blood ritual charge against the Jews, and invited the civilised world to extend moral support to the Russian Government in protecting the Jews.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Mr Joseph Chamberlain, and Lord Rosebery wrote sympathising with the objects of the meeting.

FOMENTING A POGROM.

TWO JEWS KILLED. ST. PETERSBURG, October 29. The "Novoe Vremya, in supporting the trial at Kieff, has issued a pamphlet purporting to explain the cabalistic significance of Tushinsky's -wounds. The "Black Hundred" Press is fomenting a posjrom (outcry against the Jews). Two- Jews have been killed in consequence, and two wounded in the Kieff district.
