NORTH OTAGO JOCKEY CLUB'S MEETING.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU, Friday. The North Otago Jockey Club's races were concluded to-day. The weather wag fine, the racing good, and the attendance large. The sub of £12.253 passed through the machine, making the grand total for the meeting £-3.552. against £17,543 last year. Following are the results of the later events:—
Electric Handicap, four furlongs.—Safety Pin, 7.12, 1; Mapleleaf, 0.7, 2; Manillus, 9.13, 3. Also started: Lupulite 8.13. Stepmaid 8.3, Mahuri 7.7. Otakeho 7.7, Grand Jewel 7.4. Won by a short head. Time. 40 4-ss.
Victoria Handicap, one mile. —Specialform, 8.6, 1; Carolus. 7.13, 2; Kilmeny, 8.9, 3. Also started: Oxenhope 9.4. Gapon S.O. Rock Ferry 7.5, Gold Coin 7.0. Oiyoi 6.9, Miss Sylvia 6.7, Sunbeam 6.7. Won by three lengths. Time, 1.43 3-5.
The Grange Handicap, six fnrlongs.—Gunflash, 8.0, 1; Caraid Del—is, 9.7, 2: Gold Cup, 9.2, 3. Also started: Thuringa S.lO, Nithsdale 8.6, Martian Maid 8.5, Kimona 7.11, Sartorze 7.10, Orange Lily 7.6, Achilla 6.13, Aranea 6.7. Agitator 6.7. Won by two lengths. Time, Ll6 2-5.
Te Puke Welter Handicap, seven furloncs — Waikehua, 9.0, 1; Kilts, 10.2, 2: Land Rose, 8.8, 3. Also started: Glenowl 911 Russo 9.4. Rock Ferry 9.2, Mumura 91 John Bnnyan 8.11.
