Nfwry a 'y<M.r ago the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association began to collect tie remains from the ohurcbyards all over the conn try, but the preparations were carried on so quietly that no public interest was exciU'd. The bones of a'hout 0,000 Chinamen have now beeii recovered, wrapped up in pieces of .soft cloth, placed in boxes, and carefully scaled. The remains wilt bp re-interred in China.
